Volodymyr Lytvyn, the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine addressed Viktor Yushchenko, the President of Ukraine with the Request to sign the Law on Amendments to the Current Year Budget that, among other, envisages Funds Allotment for the Building of New Bridge in Zaporizhia City.

 

It was declared by V. Lytvyn in Zaporizhia during the press-conference.

 

According to his words, the law was directed for the President´s signature and 18 November would be the last term when the President of Ukraine, according to the Law, is supposed to introduce his decision regarding this matter.

 

V. Lytvyn informed that during the conversation with Zaporizhia mayor he addressed the city leader with the appeal to take necessary measures in order UAH 500 million that are presupposed by the Law were effectively used.

 

V. Lytvyn reminded that the mentioned above Law was elaborated by the People´s Deputies of Ukraine from Volodymyr Lytvyn Bloc and Party of Regions factions by the initiative of the Head of the Parliament after Zaporizhia visit in summer of the current year. According to him, the city had already received funds for the building of bridges and moreover, extra UAH 9 million was allotted for the repair of previously built bridges.

 

"AS far as I was an initiator of the adopted decisions I would make everything possible in order they are realized in full scope and not because of the fact that I have an intention to be kind for everybody but because it is extremely necessary: building of bridge in Zaporizhia it is not only the city´s problem but the matter of national safety", - he emphasized.

 

On Tuesday, V.Lytvyn will also meet the personnel of Berdiansk Trade Sea Port, observe production of "Azmol" OJSC and meet the employees of the plant.
