Mykola Tomenko: It is necessary to overcome Flu in Ukraine, and Dismissals of the Officials can be settled later

Speaking at the morning plenary meeting, Mykola Tomenko, Vice-Chairman of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, stated: "At the yesterday´s Conciliative Council everyone was concerned with the situation in the country and jointly looked for the action plans, however, having entered the session hall the positions have changed. The tasks of the candidates for presidency and the parties have obviously started to prevail. Will we even politicize flu?! Presently, we shall discuss a common action plan to overcome the disaster instead of gaining political benefits".

The Vice-Chairman distinguished three categories of people as to their attitude to the epidemic. "The first category includes the so-called news alarmists. They appear on TV and say: "Have you heard that such-and-such number of people have died", the figures growing each time. They´d better go to Ternopil or Lviv and help the sick instead of running through the channels", - stated M.Tomenko.

According to the Vice-Chairman, the second category "is a group of economic plunderers who availed themselves of the situation and gained maximum profits on the sale of medicine".

"There are also smart alecks who come and say: "Do we really have epidemic? No, it was devised either by Americans, Russians or Tymoshenko´s Government". I also call on them with a request to go to the hospitals, talk with the sick and tell them that they have a devised political illness", - stated the Vice-Chairman.

Commenting upon the Resolution on Dismissal of the Ministry of Public Health registered at the Parliament, Mykola Tomenko, Vice-Chairman of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, stated that it is necessary to overcome flu in the country, dismissing the officials later.

"At present, we shall jointly overcome the disaster instead of politicizing flu. The problem being settled, it will be possible to sum up the consequences, instituting criminal proceedings or dismissing the officials", - stated M.Tomenko.
