People´s Deputy V.Shvets deems important to pass the Bill (Reg. No. 5002) to protect human rights during the conduct of investigation and search activity. He believes that "despite the importance of investigation and search activity in the provision of national security and fighting crime, this type of law enforcement function of governmental agencies presupposes the highest risk of illegitimate restriction of rights and liberties of individuals and legal entities".

The Committee upholds the Bill, as its adoption will facilitate observance of human rights and liberties by the subjects of investigation and search activities, as well as enhance efficiency of this activity in fighting crime.
