Volodymyr Lytvyn, Chairman of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, believes that Spreading of Flu is rather a Social, than a Medical Problem
At the Monday´s briefing, V.Lytvyn drew attention to the fact that the flu epidemics had outbroken in the least socially secured regions, where the wages are the lowest and the people live in the most underprivileged conditions. "The conclusion is obvious it is a social disaster. The problem is rather of social, than of medical nature", stressed the Head of the Parliament.
He believes that the settlement of the problem must be comprehensive. He also deems necessary to exert every effort to implement the Law on the increase of the minimal welfare standards.
"We are fighting the consequences, while the reasons of the epidemics shall be considered", - stated V.Lytvyn. He calls for "refusing from politics and mutual reproaches, as it will not improve the situation".
The Chairman of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine stated that "all the authorities" are to be blamed in the present-day situation. He also deems necessary to pass "a single serious resolution and suggest an action plan to improve the situation".
V.Lytvyn admitted that the current budget could be amended in this plenary week in the part of funding anti-epidemics measures, as the funds allocated by the Government are inadequate.
