The First Deputy Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Oleksandr Kornienko took part in the presentation of the research of the independent analytical platform ‘Vox Ukraine’ on the MPs' efficiency or reform support index, which demonstrates the extent to which parliamentarians supported the reforms necessary for the country with their votes.

The analytical work included calculating the average value by faction and the efficiency of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, which is 68%, which is 11 percentage points higher than the previous convocation.

Oleksandr Korniienko thanked Vox Ukraine for conducting the study of the work of MPs and the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine as an institution over the ten sessions of the IX convocation. ‘During the war, the demands on the Parliament have increased significantly. This is logical, it should be so. Your work helps to make the Parliament better,’ said the First Deputy Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.

Over the past two years, the reform agenda of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine has been linked to Ukraine's European integration path. According to Oleksandr Korniienko, this work will continue, as the negotiation process has many tasks to synchronise with the European space. The Parliament's attention will also be focused on fulfilling its promises to international partners and implementing the Ukraine Facility plan.

In his speech, the First Deputy Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Oleksandr Korniienko also focused on the procedure for drafting laws, in particular, those aimed at reforming a particular area of state life. “The next, eleventh, session of the parliament will have more reformist laws than this one. There are a lot of bills that are currently being registered that are directly related to the Ukraine Facility plan. Some of the bills in the eleventh session will be related to the World Bank, IMF funding and US funding, for example, on the reform of the Accounting Chamber,” Oleksandr Korniienko said.

The First Vice-Speaker of the Parliament noted the high role and effectiveness of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine in the process of Ukraine's membership in the European Union.
