Volodymyr Lytvyn, Chairman of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, believes that the Authorities shall adopt a Consolidated Resolution concerning Prevention of Flu Epidemic Spreading in Ukraine

During the interview with the journalists on Friday, V. Lytvyn declared that the discussion of the issue on antiepidemic measures on the sitting of National Security and Defense Council, was brought to "the stating without the strict vision of the necessary actions."

 

V. Lytvyn does not exclude that this issue would also be scrutinized sitting the sitting of the Parliament. "Still, I insist on the necessity to stop using this disaster for elections purposes and stop contests who would be first to promise the problem solution", - he declared.

 

Giving answers on the journalists questions regarding the pre-termed session of the Parliament on Saturday, V. Lytvyn declared that he had not heard about such an initiative. "If it is formed already, it is obvious that it is again the pre-election ploy", - he informed explaining that "one should not have waited Friday evening to form such a vision." "Today I am on my working place from morning eight o´clock and have nor received such appeals to the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine", - he added.

 

"I am convinced that we ought to scrutinize this matter but it is obvious that the issue should be analyzed, that were already adopted by the executive power and local bodies and then we may find the solution. Otherwise, it would be panic-stroke which can bring nothing useful", - V. Lytvyn proclaimed.

 

V. Lytvyn emphasized the necessity of the adoption of "one complex approach, proceeding from the situation the people and country faced." According to him, in regions where influenza is announced, the state of emergency should be introduced. Among the urgent measures, the Leader of the Parliament named the necessity of the proper provision of sanitary-and-hygienic norms: in particular, solve the problem with the domestic and industrial waste utilization in Ternopil region and regular hot water supply.
