The Vice-Speaker Olena Kondratiuk calls on the world to bring the terrorist country russia to justice for crimes against children and to provide Ukraine with air defence

The Deputy Chairperson of the Verkhovna Rada Olena Kondratiuk appealed to the international community to give a proper assessment of today's terrorist missile attack by russia on Ukraine and the National Children's Specialised Hospital "Okhmatdyt" in Kyiv.

"It is a terrible morning for our country. russia, a terrorist country, is killing our children in front of the whole world. Not only does it kidnap, forcibly take away, deport Ukrainian children, it also aims at their lives and simply kills them," said Olena Kondratiuk in a video address published on her Facebook page.

She appealed to the Speakers of all Parliaments of the democratic world and all international organisations to give a proper assessment of such actions of the terrorist state.

"russia must be held accountable for these crimes – war crimes against our children. We need as many air defences and missiles as possible. Help us with this! Do not stand aside from our tragedy. The lives of our children are above all for us," stressed the Vice Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada, Olena Kondratiuk.
