During the meeting, the parties primarily discussed the results of the decentralisation reform.
The First Deputy Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Oleksandr Korniienko assured that all relevant draft laws will be in the focus of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine and will be considered in the session hall.
At the same time, the First Vice Speaker elaborated on the issue of Ukraine's European integration path.
He said that he was personally working with communities and society to communicate Ukraine's accession to the European Union — what opportunities, rights and responsibilities all Ukrainians will have. "I would like to emphasise territorial development projects — how important it is for communities to participate in them and implement them on the ground," said Oleksandr Korniienko, while also asking the partners to provide expertise on successful cases of relevant projects in the EU.
In conclusion, he expressed his gratitude for the support in Ukraine's aspirations, in particular, in its approximation to the European level.
