The Committee on Fighting Organized Crime and Corruption does not uphold the Bill on Amendments to certain Laws of Ukraine regarding the Improvement of the Finance Operation Monitoring of Persons authorized to implement Functions of the State

During the sitting of the Committee it was declared that the Bill (Reg.№4204) directed by H. Moscal, the People´s Deputies of Ukraine, envisages the introduction of the amendments to the Laws "On Banks and Banking Activity", "On Prevention and Counteraction of Income received in Criminal Way", "On Judges Status", "On Status of the People´s Deputies of Ukraine", "On Elections of the President of Ukraine", "On Elections of the People´s Deputies of Ukraine." The author is convinced that the amendments are aimed at the strengthening of the fighting against corruption.

 

During the discussion, the People´s Deputies expressed certain number of the remarks to the Law.

 

In particular during the sitting it was stressed that the suggested amendments does not comprise the principles of the governmental Bill adopted by the Parliament in the first reading (Reg.№3062) on Amendments to the Law "On Fighting and Counteraction of Income received in Criminal Way" (Article 11) and also articles 59 and 64 of the Law "On Banks and Banking Activity."

 

The suggested amendments to the Laws "On Judges Status" and "On the Status of the People´s Deputies of Ukraine", according to the People´s Deputies do not comprise the principles of the adopted Law "On Principles Prevention and Fighting against Corruption"

 

During the sitting it was also declared that the General Scientific-Expert Administration of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine deems the Bills due to the results of the plenary meeting should be rejected.
