First of all, the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine expressed gratitude to the leadership and people of Moldova for supporting Ukraine in its fighting against russian armed aggression.

He also personally thanked the Speaker of the Parliament of the Republic of Moldova, Igor Grosu, for joining the open letter to the Speaker of the U.S. House of Representatives, Mike Johnson, on the introduction of the U.S. International Assistance Bill, which provides for the allocation of $60.06 billion to help Ukraine.

The parties also discussed issues of inter-parliamentary cooperation. The Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine thanked Moldova for its participation in the work of the international association of parliamentarians United for Ukraine.

The interlocutors paid special attention to the path to the European Union. “Our common goal is integration into the European Union. All this time, we have been walking alongside each other and synchronising our actions,” said the Speaker of the Parliament of Ukraine.

Finally, the parties touched upon the implementation of the Peace Formula by the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyi. The Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine expressed hope that Moldova would join the implementation of specific points of the Peace Formula and take part in the Global Peace Summit.
