Volodymyr Lytvyn, Chairman of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, was not surprised by the Conclusions of the Venetian Commission concerning Amendments to the Legislation on Presidential Elections.

"I was not surprised by the Conclusions of the Venetian Commission concerning Amendments to the Legislation on Presidential Elections", - V. Lytvyn declared giving answers on the questions on the press-conference in Zhytomyr on Friday. According to him mentioned law "is the raider scheme of power usurpation".

According to the Leader of the parliament, the stakes in election fighting is extremely high and the law "is written for two candidates on the office of the president together with the propaganda that all other candidates are unpromising."

Speaking about the future presidential campaign, V. Lytvyn stressed that it is important not to humiliate own country once more. This law has a lot of drawbacks and, according to the Head of the Parliament, "is not for the country, not for the electorate, not for the clear election campaign but for the power usurpation".

The Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine announced that the letters of address are already prepared to the parliamentarians of different countries with the invitation to direct supervisors in Ukraine for the presidential elections. "We are to provide ourselves with the fair election of the President of Ukraine; otherwise we are doomed to be "grey spot" in Europe."

As it was informed, today V. Lytvyn stays with the working visit in Zhytomyr region where he would meet the citizens of Berdychiv town and would participate in grand meting of the Zhytomyr Frnako University personnel.
