Borys Tarasyuk, the Chairman of the Committee on European Integration Matters declared that the peculiarity of the Thirteenth Sitting of the Committee on Parliamentary Cooperation between Ukraine and EU was that it would be held on the eve of the Ukraine-EU Summit and President elections in Ukraine. B. Tarasyuk also informed that the delegation of the European Parliament would arrive to Kyiv
The Chairman of the Committee informed that during the 13th sitting the issues on regulation of the negotiation process on the Treaty signing on the Association and Formation of the free trade zone between Ukraine and EU, the impact of the world crisis for the development of economic and sectarian cooperation were discussed.
One of the leading issues on the sitting are supposed to be the discussion of the inner development of Ukraine and EU, in particular it concerns the elections of the President in Ukraine and institutional EU reforms due to the Lisbon Treaty. Ukrainian part also is going to touch upon the visa problem and discuss the issue on simplification of the visa registration and granting by the countries EU members. One more separate matter for the scrutiny would be the initiative of the Eastern Partnership and its parliamentary dimension Parliamentary Assembly EU-Eastern Neighbors.
