Volodymyr Lytvyn, the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine has the Intention to sign the Bill on Amendments to the State Budget of Ukraine for the Current Year regarding the Financing of Euro-2012 Championship Preparation.

 

"If the Verkhovna Rada had adopted this law due to the efforts of two biggest factions YTB and Party of Regions, had overcome veto due to votes of these two parties, the President should have signed this law. But he failed to do it transferring the responsibility on the chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine", - V. Lytvyn declared on Monday during the press-conference in Chernihiv.

 

"I respect the Constitution of Ukraine and act according to it, consequently in such a case I sign the Laws and I am not afraid of responsibility", - the Head of the Parliament proclaimed.

 

V. Lytvyn also reminded that during the last plenary week the Parliament adopted the Resolution that recommends the President should adopt the mentioned Bill during three days. If the President failed to do it, the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine is obliged to sign it on the fourth day.

As it was informed previously, on Monday V. Lytvyn would stay with the working visit Chernihiv region.
