Volodymyr Lytvyn, Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, believes that the Issue on the Financial Provision of the Social Standards Increase needs Complex Approach
V. Lytvyn declared it during the press-conference in Dnipropetrovsk.
"It is sheer populism. We need these reductions and everybody would eagerly vote for them, having hope that it would not touch them, - the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada declared."
V. Lytvyn pointed out the attention "on the hysterics concerning the non-payment of the salaries for the People´s Deputies during the days of the blocking". "I have heard a lot about illegal side of my action but why nobody talks about the illegal blocking of the tribune?" - he stressed.
"Today the representatives of the Party of Regions criticize the Government for the fact that Ministers possess 10 assistants. The government inherited it from their predecessors", - V. Lytvyn declared. "Unfortunately there is now state policy in the country. When this or that political party possess the power they proclaim they act in the interests of the country and reduce social expenses but then they occur in opposition deem it necessary to increase them by the means of all the decisions even absurd ones".
"None of these approaches is correct", - the Leader of the Parliament summed up.
According to him the bill on the social standards increase concerns a lot the pension provision. V. Lytvyn reminded that he several times introduced the bill on the regulation of the pension legislation for the voting but the opposition representatives have not uphold the bill. "The bill presupposes UAH 6 billion for the increase of the minimal pension and minimum living wages, in particular through the restriction of the pensions for the dignitaries to the rate of UAH 10 000".
As it was announced previously, V. Lytvyn would stay with a working visit in Dnipropetrovsk city.
