Ukraine highly appreciates the cooperation with Great Britain and is aware of the Necessity to enlarge the partnership between our Countries with the Help of Real Actions. V. Lytvyn, the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine declared it during the meeting with the Leaders of the London Corporation (London City) on Tuesday.

 

According to V. Lytvyn the leading role in theses processes belong to the London Corporation one of the Leaders in Finance Sector.

"We expect that the presidential Elections in Ukraine would be held in normal mode and that means democratic, - he declared. Irrespectively of the winner and the person who would receive the post of the President of Ukraine, strategic course of Ukraine in its inner life and foreign policy would not be changed radically."

 

According to the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada, Ukraine is extremely interested in the development of the Ukrainian-Britain relations in all the spheres. He reminded that the scope of the British investments in Ukrainian Economy comprises USD 5 billion.

"Ukraine is ready to make efforts in order to make the figures bigger", - V. Lytvyn assured, stressing its extreme importance due to the needs for the Euro-2012 preparation.

 

The Leader of the Parliament informed that Ukrainian part understands the necessity of the formation of relevant legislative basis for the appropriate investments climate, stressing that in order to possess it the country needs stable political life.

 

Special attention was paid to the regulation of the land relations in Ukraine.

The Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine reminded that until the beginning of the next year in Ukraine there is effective moratorium on the land of agricultural purpose sale. "A lot of foreign businessmen lease the land areas and represent the effective work that satisfies citizens", - V. Lytvyn informed. According to the Head of the Parliament "foreign investors should demonstrate for the Parliament their own vision of the relations with the land share owners as actually the majority of land belong to the people and the state actually has nothing to do with it."

 

According to V. Lytvyn "there is a vast sphere for the activity for the foreign investors".

One more perspective way of the cooperation according to V. Lytvyn is searching of the sale markets for the ecological safe agricultural production made in Ukraine.

 

In his turn William Fraser, the Chairman of the Corporation of London stressed that institution headed by him is ready to assist Ukraine "in finance services allotment and finance economy sphere". Leading questions here were interests´ protection of British investors who is already working in Ukraine "through the concluded treaties implementations and keeping basing of the supremacy of law". In the end V. Lytvyn stressed that "We are aware that we possess a lot of problems but we are ready to implement parliamentary control for your propositions realization as we are interested in the strengthening of Ukrainian-British relations."

 

As it was reported, on 19-20 October, Volodymyr Lytvyn, Chairman of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, stays with an official visit in the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland.

 

The Chairman of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine will meet Baroness Hayman, Lord Speaker of the House of Lords, John Berkow, Speaker of the House of Commons, Chris Bryant, Minister of State for Europe.

 

V.Lytvyn will also meet the members of the Foreign Affairs Committee headed by Mike Gapes, Committee Chairman, members of the All Party Parliamentary Ukraine Group headed by John Grogan, Chairman of the Group, and the deputies of the European Union Committee of the House of Lords headed by Lord Roper, Committee Chairman.
