Volodymyr Lytvyn, Chairman of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, believes that the President of Ukraine can use the Right of Veto as regards the Law on the State Budget for 2010.

 

Giving answers to the journalists´ questions on Sunday in settlement Velyka Verhunka, V. Lytvyn explained that the bill o the State Budget "is based mainly on the Law the President imposed veto upon (revision of the Budget Code)."

 

The Head of the Parliament expressed thought that the Budget bill "should not be groundlessly criticized." "The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine should make everything possible in order to prepare the document that would be budget for the country, for the development, for the living and not the budget that either Government or President needs", - he declared.

 

Giving answers, V. Lytvyn also proclaimed that he had an intention to propose during the next plenary week to scrutinize the bills package concerning the local self-governing.
