The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine passed the Resolution "On Prevention of Abuse of Citizens' Rights for Labour and Remuneration of Labour under the Conditions of the Financial-Economic Recession"

To protect the citizens´ rights for labour and remuneration of labour guaranteed by the Constitution and the laws of Ukraine, and prevent narrowing of their contents and scope, the Resolution states that The Verkhovna Rada deems it inadmissible to violate the citizens´ rights for labour and remuneration of labour under the conditions of the financial-economic recession, esp. by means of terminating production, reducing the number of employees and the rate of wages, making the employees take a leave without pay.
