The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine has adopted a number of decisions, including:
No. 9581 – appealed to the parliaments and governments of foreign states, international organisations and their parliamentary assemblies regarding the intentions of the russian federation to hold illegal elections in the temporarily occupied territories of Donetsk, Luhansk, Zaporizhzhia and Kherson regions of Ukraine;
No. 9575 – early termination of the parliamentary powers of the People’s Deputy A.Kholodov
IN GENERAL:
No. 5431 – improved the mechanisms of control over concentrations of business entities. The Antimonopoly Committee is entitled to conduct inspections of business entities only if there are signs of violation of the legislation on protection of economic competition in order to collect evidence of the violation.
No. 9261 – allowed the launch of the Service of Disciplinary Inspectors, which is to assist the High Council of Justice in disciplinary proceedings against judges. As of today, the HCJ has more than nine thousand pending complaints against judges. It is very important to resume their consideration, as this is a matter of the authority of the judiciary in the eyes of society. Despite the martial law, inspectors of the Service will be appointed through a competition to be held by the High Council of Justice.
No. 9079 – reduced corruption risks and protected the state reserve from theft. In addition, the law distinguishes between the state material and mobilisation reserves and clearly defines their balance holders. This is necessary for the operational manning of military units and territorial defence units of the Armed Forces.
FOR THE BASIS:
No. 9419-1 – proposed to minimise the potential oligarchic influence on political parties, improve the mechanisms of state funding and state control over the activities of political parties.
