The Committee on Fighting against Crime and Corruption recommends that the Parliament adopts as a Basis the Law "On Amendments tot certain Legislative Acts of Ukraine" (re the Prevention of Legalization of Income (Money Laundering) obtained illegally)

During the Committee sitting it was declared that the Bill (Reg.№4819) is aimed at the improvement of the laws principles regarding the determining of such illegal crimes as "money laundering, law infringements regarding the, money laundering matters and implementation of the criminal liability for the legalization of funds obtained illegally"

To provide the amendments it is envisaged that the articles 209 and 2091 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine should be presented in new revisions and the Code should be added by the new article 2092 and exclude article 306.

According to M. Dzhyha, the Vice-Chairman of the Committee, the suggested revision of the articles 209 and 2091 of the Criminal Code is formed according to the international standards that would facilitate the increase of the results of fighting against crimes in this sphere.

The bill also introduced the amendments to the Law "On prevention and Fighting against Legalization (Money Laundering) of Income received illegally".
