The Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine held a videoconference with the President of the Senate of Chile

The Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Ruslan Stefanchuk held a videoconference conversation with the President of the Senate of the Republic of Chile Juan Antonio Coloma Correa.

“russia is committing war crimes in Ukraine every day, killing civilians, destroying residential buildings and critical infrastructure,” Ruslan Stefanchuk said first of all.

He thanked Chile for its humanitarian support to Ukraine: “But today, more than ever, Ukraine needs military assistance to defend its independence, freedom and territory.”

In addition, the Speaker of the Parliament of Ukraine stressed the importance of implementing the peace formula of the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyi.

“It is important for us to support the sanctions policy against russia in a coordinated manner. It is extremely important to increase pressure on the aggressor state and cut off trade ties with russia,” said Ruslan Stefanchuk.

Finally, the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine raised an important issue of establishing justice, namely the establishment of a special tribunal to investigate the crime of aggression against Ukraine: “I hope that Chile will join the Core Group Coalition on this issue.”
