Volodymyr Lytvyn, Chairman of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, met H.E. Mr. Jacek Kluczkowski, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Poland to Ukraine

During the meeting the issues on the cooperation between Ukraine and Poland in different spheres ad directions were discussed. The special attention was paid to the perspectives of Ukrainian-Polish relations on interparliamentary level. According to the fact that there is Europe strict and definite notion of parliament role, Mr. Kluczkowski agreed that it is of vital importance that the Ukrainian parliament should be able to work and solve problems, especially during the election campaign.

The parties have discussed the issue on the cooperation of Ukraine with International Monetary Fund and perspectives of European Integration of Ukraine and the possible variants of the situation during the presidential campaign, According to V. Lytvyn, "elections are of minor importance, the most important is the question what will be with the country after the elections. "The Europe is interested in Ukraine being stable and predictable", the Leader of the Ukrainian Parliament declared. The Ambassador in his turn declared that in friendly European countries and in Poland as well, the politicians worry about the processes in Ukraine and hope that it would overcome all the economic and political troubles.
