The Committee on the Pensioners, Veterans and the Disabled recommends that the Parliament adopts the Bill on Amendments to the Law "On Perpetuation of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War 1941-1945 (re Official Use of the Authentic Copies of the Victory Flag) as a Basis

The Bill (Reg.№4355) envisages the implementation on the legislative level of the official use of the authentic copies of the Victory Flag the main Victory symbol in the Second Patriotic War 1941-1945. In particular, the amendments concerns the use of the authentic copies during the celebration dedicated to the Victory Day and other holidays connected with the Second Patriotic War 1941-1945 and official hoisting of the Victory Flag together with the State Flag of Ukraine during the Victory Day.

 

During the meeting of the Committee, it was declared that the Committee upheld the idea of the bill´s authors. According to the members of the Committee, "adoption of the bill will be of great patriotic significance for the education of the youth, military service and all the citizens of Ukraine, it will also bear positive influence on the honorable attitude towards the winners over fascism and preservation of the historical memory concerning the heroic past of the fathers and grandfathers".
