The Committee on Foreign Affairs scrutinized the Bill of the Resolution on the Declaration of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine "On Overcoming of the Crisis in Ukrainian-Russian Relations"

The Members of the Committee have discussed suggested by I. Gerashchenko, O. Gerasymiuk, E. Zeinalov and O. Tretiakov, the People´s Deputy of Ukraine the Resolution on the Declaration of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine "On Crisis Overcoming in Ukrainian-Russian Relations" (Reg.№5051) and propositions to it of the People´s Deputies of Ukraine, Yu. Kostenko, Ya. Dzhodzhyk, L. Kozhara and I. Kyrylenko. Unanimously the decision to elaborate the bill was adopted with taken the expressed motions into the consideration.

During the discussion, the members of the committee have pointed out special attention "on the searching of the constructive decisions and recommendations regarding the improvement of the mutual cooperation on the basis of the strategic partnership of both countries that was fixed in the Treaty on Friendship, Cooperation and Partnership between Ukraine and Russian Federation from 31 May 1997".

Moreover the People´s deputies deem it necessary to elaborate and discuss Ukrainian-Russian cooperation during the pre-termed sitting of Interparliamentary Commission on Cooperation between the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine and Federal Council of Russian Federation that is planed to be held in the end of year 2009 in Kyiv.
