The Committee on the Matters of the Pensioners, Veterans and the Disabled upholds the Draft Resolution "On Supply of Quality Drinking Water to the Settlements of Zaspilska and Bodnarivska Village Councils of Kremenchuk District in Poltava Region that suffered from the Pollution by Evaporating Pond of "Ukrtatnafta" Joint-Stock Company

The problem concerning supply of quality drinking water to the settlements of Zaspilska and Bodnarivska village councils can be settled only by means of a district water supply. The Committee members stated that the State target-oriented Social Program on the Priority Provision of District Water Supply to the Rural Settlements that use Delivered Water for the Period till 2010, ratified by the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, envisaged settlement of similar matters.

 

According to the Ministry of Finance of Ukraine, the issue concerning water supply of the said settlements can be solved at the expanse of inter-budget transfers to the local budgets on the grounds of resolutions of the local authority bodies.   

 

Moreover, taking into account the limitation of the financial resource of the State Budget of Ukraine, the Draft Resolution envisages attraction of the funds of "Ukrtatnafta" joint-stock company, the Stabilization Fund and the regional budget of Poltava region to the financing of construction of the water supply system.
