Volodymyr Lytvyn, Chairman of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, met Viktor Yushchenko, President of Ukraine, on Wednesday at the request of the Head of State.
The participants of the meeting discussed the Parliament's work at the current session in view of the financial-economic and social situation in the country, as well as the presidential campaign that has actually been launched.
V.Lytvyn informed V.Yushchenko about the schedule of work of The Verkhovna Rada, agenda of the session and hardships in the activity of a single legislative body of the country.
The Head of State expressed his concern with the socio-economic situation in the country and stated that The Verkhovna Rada should become a center to secure stability and dialogue in the political environment and society.
