I send my sincere greetings to the pupils, students, their parents, educational and scientific-educational workers on the occasion of the Knowledge Day and the beginning of a new 2009-2010 academic year!
The achievements of Ukrainian education and science are undeniable. The whole world knows the names of our prominent scholars, our pupils and students win the international competitions and prestigious contests. Thus, we can rightfully take pride in our great educational and scientific traditions, rely on our own intellectual potential and be certain that Ukraine can be on a level with others in the field of education, fundamental research and innovations, can have a developed education and science that correspond to the modern global standards and provide its stable economic development in the world.
The Committee on Education and Science exerts every effort to enhance legislative support of the quality education and access to it, as envisaged by the governmental Action Plan "Ukrainian Breakthrough For People, not Politicians".
The comprehensive external independent testing of graduates´ knowledge has been successfully held for the second time. We created prerequisites for the enhancement of competitive ability of the graduates of comprehensive secondary education establishments regardless of the place of residence and means of their parents. I believe in the success of each you and wish that you achieve the desired aims in the future occupation, career and life!
I wish you sound health, happiness, success in work and education, fulfillment of your cherished dreams and boldest plans.
