Committee on Legislative Support of Law Enforcement recommends that the Verkhovna Rada adopts as a Basis the Bill on Probation

The author of the Bill (Reg.№3412), People´s Deputy Viktor Shvets declared that the Bill is aimed at the formation in Ukraine of the probation system and corresponding public structure (probation service). Its aim is the implementation of the efficient mechanisms of social work with the people that are made criminally responsible and convicted and also conducting individual supervision for it/ According to the author it would serve "securing the society and decrease of the rate of crimes recidivism in Ukraine".

The members of the committee upheld the Bill adoption of which according to them "would facilitate reformation of the Criminal Justice System in Ukraine".
