The Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Ruslan Stefanchuk summarized the results of the plenary session

Today, February 23, at the plenary session, the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine adopted a number of important decisions, including:

0187 – ratified the Agreement between Ukraine and the EU on Ukraine’s participation in the EU’s Digital Europe program. The goal of the program is to strengthen and promote Europe’s potential in key areas of digital technologies.

As a basis:

9005 – proposed to prohibit MPs from disseminating information about the time, place, course and results of the plenary session in any way earlier than one hour after the session is closed for the duration of martial law. After an hour, the information can be made public.

7731 – proposed to regulate labour relations at the legislative level to protect national interests, in particular, to allow the employer to terminate employment if the employee has committed a misdemeanour related to his or her support of the aggressor state.

In general:

7198 – introduced a transparent mechanism for obtaining housing for people who lost their homes due to hostilities, in particular, a housing certificate instrument is introduced. The amount of compensation will be calculated by commissions at local governments based on a methodology determined by the Cabinet of Ministers.

9045 – introduced sanctions restrictions for half a century against all Russian financial services companies (sanctions cover such services as transfers, settlements and cash withdrawals).
