Volodymyr Lytvyn, the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine is convinced that there are all the Grounds to Speak over the Necessity of Dwelling Ukrainian-Canadian Relations on the Qualitative New Level.
It was announced during the meeting of V.M. Lytvyn, Chairman of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, with Peter Milliken, Speaker of the House of Commons of Canada.
According to V. Lytvyn there is great potential for the further development of bilateral cooperation in the economics sphere. Ukraine, according to his words, "is open for the investments", and the task of Ukrainian power "is to provide stability and effectiveness of the effective laws". Of great importance according to the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine is liberal dimension of the cooperation.
The Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine declared that Ukraine and Canada are connected by the ancient historical connections, stressing that in Canada more than 1 million Canadians of Ukrainian origin live. He emphasized that between two countries the active political dialogue is being held on all the levels.
P. Milliken in its turn declared that in Canada the development of the political actions in Ukraine are observed.
According to the Speaker of the House of Commons of Canada there is "immense possibilities for the activation of the cooperation" in our countries in all the spheres and in trade-economic first of all.
During the meeting the share of thoughts regarding the wide sphere of issues that are of common interest were discussed.
