The Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Ruslan Stefanchuk summarized the results of the plenary session

Today, on February 6, the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine adopted a number of decisions, including:

RESOLUTIONS:

8398 – appealed to the parliaments of the countries of the world, the International Olympic Committee, national Olympic committees and international sports federations to ban the participation of russian and belarusian athletes in international sports competitions, including the Olympic Games;

8396 – appealed to the OSCE PA and the parliaments of its participating States to prohibit the participation of members of the russian parliament in the work of the Assembly’s statutory bodies;

8397 – recognized the private military company “Wagner” as an international criminal organization and appealed to the governments and parliaments of the world to recognize the PMC “Wagner” as an international criminal organization;

3735 – appealed to the UN, European Parliament, PACE, OSCE PA, NATO PA, BSEC PA, governments and parliaments of the world to recognize russian private military companies as terrorist organizations.

 

IN GENERAL:

8360 and 8361-d – amended the Tax and Customs Codes of Ukraine to facilitate the importation of unmanned aerial vehicles into the customs territory of Ukraine. Both documents provide for exemption from VAT (8360) and import duty (8361-d) for unmanned aerial vehicles, scopes, thermal imaging binoculars, encrypted communications equipment, satellite communications equipment and tactical medicine.
