Volodymyr Lytvyn, Chairman of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, declares the Lack of Legal Grounds and Mechanisms to dissolve the Parliament

 

The Chairman of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine stated that the Parliament´s dissolution was not a subject of discussion at the meeting with the President of Ukraine on Wednesday.  

 

V.Lytvyn stated: "Existence of the coalition is not the point, as I am concerned with the functioning Parliament, not the coalition". "The coalition, as well as the government, was formed jointly by the acting President and the Prime Minister of Ukraine. If the coalition is non-existent, the government must be dissolved", - he stated.  

 

Commenting upon the yesterday´s meeting with the President of Ukraine, V.Lytvyn stated that the Parties discussed their opinions "concerning the plans and problems of the legislative nature of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine".  

 

V.Lytvyn reminded of the fact that he suggested that the Deputies answered the obvious question concerning the importance of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine. "I think The Verkhovna Rada is necessary, therefore, let us start working", - he stated.
