Mykola Tomenko: The National Bank and the Board of the National Bank of Ukraine should exert every Effort to stabilize the Situation at the Foreign Exchange Market
Mykola Tomenko, Vice-Chairman of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, believes that the leaders of the National Bank of Ukraine and the Board of the National Bank responded to the situation at the foreign exchange market inadequately.
"Recently, while the experts state that further depreciation of Ukrainian hryvnia is groundless, the leaders of the National Bank of Ukraine and the Board of the National Bank fail to demonstrate reasonable and well-grounded actions", - he stated in the interview to the journalists.
According to M.Tomenko, "such silence" may be partly explained by the period of holidays. However, the situation is so grave that provision of the stability of the national currency requires adequate actions on the part of the National Bank under any circumstances. "I expect that the National Bank of Ukraine and the Board of the National Bank will exert every effort to stabilize the situation at the foreign exchange market in the nearest time", - he stated.
