This is how the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Ruslan Stefanchuk commented on the adoption by the Parliament of the Resolution “On the Statement of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine on the recognition of the russian regime as a terrorist one, the illegitimacy of the russian federation’s membership in the United Nations and its reform, the responsibility of members of russian political parties supporting aggression”, No. 8229.

“Today the world is divided into barbarism and civilization. Terrorists and those who stand at the forefront of the struggle for democratic values.

At the meeting, the Parliament of Ukraine adopted a very important political statement calling on the parliaments and governments of the world to recognize the russian regime as terrorist. It is the REGIME that is terrorist! And accordingly – to introduce restrictive measures against members of all russian political parties that support and enable the war”, – said Ruslan Stefanchuk.

He stressed that russia has no right to be in the UN, although it considers itself the successor of the USSR, which ceased to exist as a state in 1991. Therefore, russia has nothing to do with the legitimacy of its membership in this organization.

“Anyone who violates the world and international order has no right to sit at the same table with representatives of the civilized countries. Today the only course of russia is complete isolation. Complete rejection and complete banning as a subject of international relations,” the Chairman of the Ukrainian Parliament stressed.
