The Bill (Reg. No.4678) introduces amendments to the effective Law that regulate the procedure of producing and delivering the identity cards to the village, settlement and city mayors.
According to the Committee members, the effective legislation envisages manufacture and delivery of identity cards to the deputies of the local councils, People´s Deputies and the President of Ukraine, the village, settlement and city mayors being not mentioned.
Pursuant to the Bill, the identity cards provide unimpaired access of the village, settlement and city mayors to the public authority and other authority bodies, unless they have a special access regime.
The Committee members believe that adoption of the Bill will eliminate a legislative gap concerning manufacture and delivery of identity cards for the village, settlement and city mayors.
