Draft Resolution “On the Statement of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine on Energy Terrorism of the russian federation” (Reg. No. 8230) was registered in the Parliament

Since October 2022, the russian federation, headed by the kremlin criminal putin, has repeatedly resorted to new acts of energy terrorism against Ukraine, massively firing missiles and bombing non-military targets throughout the country, the explanatory note to the document says.


Accordingly, the Parliament of Ukraine calls on the world organizations, parliaments and governments of all civilized countries to condemn the acts of energy terrorism by the russian federation, to recognize such actions as a continuation of the eternal russian policy of genocide of the Ukrainian people and to take appropriate measures against the aggressor.


The Statement contains the appeal to all partner states of Ukraine to accelerate the provision of modern missile defense systems, equipment to restore uninterrupted power supply to hospitals, schools and residential buildings that are de-energized as a result of energy terrorism of russia.


The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine also calls on the international community to recognize the russian federation as a state terrorist (state sponsor of terrorism).

The adoption of the Statement will be another step towards ending the armed aggression of the russian federation against Ukraine and withdrawal of all its armed forces from the sovereign territory of Ukraine within its internationally recognized borders.
