Oleksandr Lavrynovych: Increase of Social Standards should be a Task of Priority

Oleksandr Lavrynovych, First Vice-Chairman of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, calls on the deputy corps with a request to work calmly and efficiently in compliance with the effective legislation and reached political agreements concerning increase of social standards.   

 

He made the above-mentioned statement at the Conciliative Council dedicated to the agenda of the 5th session of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine of the 6th convocation. 

 

Oleksandr Lavrynovych specified the procedure of initiation and parliamentary scrutiny of the issues concerning increase of the social standards.

 

"Pursuant to the Constitution of Ukraine and the resolutions of the Constitutional Court, every People´s Deputy has the right to make a legislative initiative concerning amendments to any law, even the Law on the State Budget", - stated the First Vice-Chairman.

 

Oleksandr Lavrynovych stressed that uncontrollable depreciation of hryvnia had been observed in Ukraine recently, which resulted in the reduction of wages and pensions due to the rate of inflation. "Social standards have not been increased lately, they have been decreased due to the rate of inflation", - stated the politician and added: "There was no revision in compliance with the law on labour remuneration. At the same time, galloping depreciation is observed".  

 

The First Vice-Chairman of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine reminded of the agreements concerning top-priority scrutiny of the matter regarding increase of social standards.

 

"I expect that the deputy corps will support this matter to settle the issue in compliance with the Constitution and laws of Ukraine", - stressed the First Vice-Chairman.
