The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine welcomes the adoption by the Chamber of Deputies of the Czech Parliament of the resolution on the recognition of the russian federation as a terrorist regime.
“The Verkhovna Rada and I personally are very grateful for the adoption of such a decision to all deputies and the Speaker of the Chamber of Deputies of the Czech Parliament Marketa Pekarova Adamova, with whom we have repeatedly discussed the need to condemn and recognize the terrorist methods of russian aggression against Ukraine at various meetings and platforms, in particular, during a working visit to the Czech Republic,” said Deputy Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Olena Kondratiuk.
She informed that the Czech deputies adopted a special resolution condemning the large-scale attacks of the russian federation on the civilian population, civilian objects and key energy infrastructure of Ukraine, which are an obvious attempt to achieve political goals by intimidating the civilian population and correspond to terrorist methods.
“Thus, the Chamber of Deputies of the Parliament of the Czech Republic, in accordance with the resolution of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe, recognizes the current russian regime as a terrorist one,” said Olena Kondratiuk.
Incidentally, the deputies of the Lower House of the Czech Parliament also do not recognize the results of the so-called referendums held by the russian federation on the sovereign territory of Ukraine in Donetsk, Luhansk, Kherson and Zaporizhzhya regions aimed at legitimizing the russian aggression and annexation of the territory of Ukraine.
At the same time, the Czech Parliament supported the efforts to establish a special tribunal to punish the crime of aggression, as well as to investigate war crimes and crimes against humanity under the auspices of the International Criminal Court.
