On Monday, Volodymyr Lytvyn, Chairman of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, met H. E. Mr. Haralampos Dimitriou, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Hellenic Republic to Ukraine.

 

The meeting was held at the request of the Ambassador due to the completion of his mission.

 

V.Lytvyn highly appraised the work of the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Hellenic Republic to Ukraine aimed at the promotion of bilateral cooperation. According to the leader of the Ukrainian Parliament, Ukrainian-Greek relations are successfully developing and our countries "have a great potential to be increased" in all the fields, including economic and humanitarian ones.

 

The Parties also discussed the inter-parliamentary constituent of the bilateral relations and stressed the necessity of its development at all the levels. They dwelled upon the preparation of the visit of Dimitrios Siufas, Chairman of the Greek Parliament, to Ukraine. 

 

V.Lytvyn and H.Dimitriou stressed that the visit of D. Siufas would enhance further bilateral mutually beneficial cooperation between the countries. 

 

H.Dimitriou also called for the exchange of the parliamentary delegations at the level of groups of friendship set up at The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine and the Greek Parliament.
