Mykola Tomenko: Case regarding Spent on Euro-2012 Funds would not go without Criminal

The Vice-Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine deems the governmental decision concerning the decrease of the expenses of Euro-2012 correct.

Still, according to his words it is more necessary that the investigation of the legitimacy of the budget funds use together with the law enforcing bodies should be held.

M. Tomenko declared that report of the Temporary Inquiry Panel contains great number of facts of illegal use of money on reconstruction. These materials were directed to Government, Verkhovna Rada and Prosecution Office.

M. Tomenko has pointed out the attention of the so-called supplement to Contract №2 between General Director of NSC "Olimpiyskiy" and Representation of "GMP" company. This treaty was signed 19. 12. 08 and envisages a number of works completed to the date 25 December 2009 for the total cost 2mln753thusand 100euro.

According to the General Architect of the project, the cost of it is justifiable. Still, the works on the preparation of the working project according to him are not completed as for the present day the project is changed. Because of this fact the works would be replanned after the adoption.

M. Tomenko reminded that the Treaty presupposes not the building of the object but the preparation of the working projects. He also informs that according to the Deed of Conveyance of Works they were completed during one day 19 December and the whole sum of money was applied to the account of German company.

M. Tomenko emphasized that there is great necessity that the Government, Leaders of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, Prosecution-General should make conclusions according to the Temporary Inquiry Panel expert evaluation.
