Volodymyr Lytvyn, the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine has met Joseph Biden, the Vice-President of the United States of America

During the meeting V. Lytvyn special objective attitude of his guest towards Ukraine declared that the visit of J. Biden is of great importance for the Ukrainian politicians that are "alarmed by the fact that in case of relations between Russia and USA rebooting Ukraine would appear on periphery". According to him the visit testified that it is false opinion.

The Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada has announced that Ukraine was overcoming crucial period in its history: "The foundation of statehood is laid and we have strong sprouts of democracy still we have stopped on the crossroads", - he stated. He is convinced "the most important thing for the present moment is to continue motion in correct direction".

V. Lytvyn declared that the president´s elections in Ukraine are on the second pace today, as "on the first place are challenges that Ukraine faces". He emphasized that the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine should be the place of dialogue concerning these issues.

Joseph Biden, the Vice-President of the United States of America declared that it is a great honour for him to be in the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine as according to his words "the heart of any democracy is the parliament". "It is exactly that direct approach to the power that people possess", - he emphasized.

J. Biden informed that the aim of USA to improve the relations with Russia can not compromise the relations between America and Ukraine. J. Biden stressed two main positions that his country sticks to: first of all, America does not perceive the fact that Russia possesses the sphere of influence on any country, secondly, each country has it is own right to determine which relations it would develop. He stated that all the countries after the revolutions appear on crossroad and assured that America supports Ukraine.

Vice-President emphasized that if Ukraine solves number of issues, according to him, it ill facilitates the involvement of foreign investment into the economics and will help to receive IMF funds. In particular he stressed that necessity of laws being clearer that are adopted for the improvement of the court system. "Investment, economy increase and final safety depends on the economic independence", - Mr. Biden declared. V. Lytvyn agreed with Vice-President adding that "without investment Ukraine would not be able to survive under the crisis conditions".

The Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine deems that "the destination of the Parliament is forcing the politicians to the dialogue". This dialogue, according to him, "should be conducted in the walls of the Parliament in order not to attract foreign mediators". "I am convinced that there is no other way, if we want preserve democratic positions. Strong decisions should be made and we must adopt it together as nobody has overcome the crisis through the positions of fighting and through paying old scores", - V, Lytvyn stressed reminding the words of A. Lincoln "House, divided from insight would not withstand"

The Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine has informed J. Biden that he asked politicians "to make steps forward to one another or even make one step behind in order the dialogue is held, in order people received safety and tranquility".

Giving answers to the questions of the Highly esteemed guest concerning the completion of IMF demands for the new tranche obtaining, the Leader of the Ukrainian Parliament stressed ion the necessity of the clear solving of the problem regarding the energy sources, use of new modern energy saving  technologies and use of alternative energy sources and reformation of the economy in the whole. "If the problem of energy sources is not solved there will not be independent state", - he emphasized.

J. Biden wished good like to Ukraine as it deserves it according to him. "Your success will be the key stone for the success of the whole Europe and success of democracy in Ukraine would be key stone for the democracy in Russia, - he stressed. Each country reaches success only when all the decisions in it are adopted transparently".
