The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine adopted the Bill "On Amendments to certain Laws of Ukraine regarding Authorities of the Constitutional Court of Ukraine, Peculiarities of Constitutional Proceedings and Prevention of Abuse of the Right for a Constitutional Appeal" as a Basis

The Bill (Reg. No. 4817) introduces amendments to the Law of Ukraine "On the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine" and the Law of Ukraine "On the Constitutional Court of Ukraine" in order to:  

 

1) regulate the procedure under which the Constitutional Court shall define compliance (non-compliance) of a Bill on Amendments to the Constitution of Ukraine with the requirements   of Clauses 157 and 158 of the Constitution of Ukraine;

 

2) define the term for the Constitutional Court of Ukraine to adopt certain resolutions;

 

3) determine the form and content of appeal of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine concerning resolution of the Constitutional Court of Ukraine whether the case on dismissal of the President of Ukraine under the impeachment procedure or terms of instituting the constitutional proceedings under the corresponding procedure comply with the constitutional regulations;    

 

4) envisage the action plan to prevent the abuse of the right for a constitutional appeal.
