During the meeting, the main attention was pointed out on the issues of security. O. Bilorus has informed the guest on the course of the international conference on security matters in the framework of IPA CIS that was held the day before and on the position of the Committee on International Affairs on security matters. O. Bilorus has expressed separate remarks concerning the separate conceptions of the "New Architecture of European Safety" of the President of Russian Federation, D. Medvedev. The Chairman of the Committee shared his experience concerning the work in the Parliamentary OSCE Assembly.
In its turn the Representative of the General Secretary of European Council on Coordination of the Programs on Cooperation in Ukraine, Ake Peterson has informed the Chairman of the Committee on the course of the execution of the EC Plan of Actions concerning Ukraine for the years 2008-2011, paying special attention to the fighting against corruption. Ake Peterson has highly appreciated the adoption of certain Laws in he first reading (Reg.№3062).
The parties have agreed on the commencement from September 2009 of the joint meetings of EC Office in Ukraine. According to the members of the committee deem that it facilitate the coordination of actions aimed at the transference to post-monitoring dialogue between Ukraine and European Council that are one of the main principles on the path of Ukrainian membership in European Union.
