Greetings from the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, Ruslan Stefanchuk, on the Day of Knowledge

Knowledge is an internal need.  This is what separates civilization from barbarians.  This is what separates the entire civilized world from russia.

And the presence of Pushkin's or Dostoevsky's works in the curriculum does not mean that russians read them.  And if you have read it, it does not mean that you have understood it.

Therefore, I congratulate the entire civilized world, and above all every Ukrainian, on the Day of Knowledge.

Today, we acquire knowledge at a terrible price.  But I believe that our schools will again be filled with the cheerful noise of first-graders.  Teachers will again wear the most festive embroidered clothes, close the "Zoom" app and go from online to offline.  And again, hearts will race from the joy of the first bell to class.

 Happy Knowledge Day, dear Ukrainians!
