Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Ruslan Stefanchuk is on a working visit to the Republic of Poland.
He met with the Marshal of the Senate of the Republic of Poland Tomasz Grodzki, to whom he once again thanked the Polish people for their comprehensive support and assistance.
Ruslan Stefanchuk noted during the meeting that today, together with Marshal of the Polish Senate Tomasz Grodzki and Polish friends, we are holding several important meetings for events.
«I am grateful to brotherly, friendly Poland for the support that Ukraine feels every day, at all levels and in all directions.» the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine emphasized.
He added that we are unanimous in the assessments and positions of our countries regarding russia's shameful actions.
In the city of Olsztyn, the speakers of the Ukrainian and Polish parliaments opened a roundabout named after General of the Army of the Ukrainian People's Republic Mark Bezruchka, as a symbol of peace and unity of our peoples.
During the meeting, the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine noted that from now on, Ukrainians and Poles will have another place that unites us in joint victory.
Together with Polish friends, a roundabout named after General of the Army of the Ukrainian People's Republic Mark Bezruchka was opened in the city of Olsztyn.
Ruslan Stefanchuk emphasized that this is a truly historical event, and he is grateful to Tomasz Grodzki, a friend of Ukraine, the Marshal of the Senate of the Republic of Poland, for the opportunity to be present on such an important day.
«Marko Bezruchko is a figure that unites our nations and is inextricably linked with the "Miracle on the Vistula" – one of the most important, victorious battles in the history of Poland and all of Europe. A person who in 1920 fought for a free Poland, a free Ukraine and a Europe free from Bolshevism and communism.» Ruslan Stefanchuk stressed.
He added that today's event is another example of how much Ukraine and Poland can achieve, when they are together.
