Mykola Tomenko: the Cost of the Building of the Memorial to the Victims of Famishment in Ukraine according to the Conclusion of Court of Auditors has increased nearly in 5 Times
As answer to the inquiry made by Mykola Tomenko, the Vice-Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, Court of Auditors of Ukraine has directed the response with the signature of the Chairman of the supervising body, V. K. Symonenko.
In particular the response states that "as a result of improper organization of the works on the building of the Memorial by the Kyiv Administration despite the fact of spent funds on this aim during the years 2007-2008 at the total rate 133,6 mln. UAH, the Memorial still remains unfinished and is not being put into operation". Moreover, "because of delay in the works on projecting and building of the Memorial it total cost has increased from the previously determined by Kyiv Administration 27,5 mln UAH to 133,8 mln. UAH that is in 5 times".
