"All branches of government have worked out the first plan of our progress towards obtaining membership – agreed and coordinated their opportunities," the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, Ruslan Stefanchuk, emphasized on the United News telethon (#UArazom).

The Speaker of the Parliament of Ukraine noted that the activities of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine were discussed separately "since the lion's share of the seven wishes and reservations that must be fulfilled before talking about full membership in the EU rests on it."

"If we talk about the Parliament, we also did a lot of preparatory things this month: we worked out a plan for legislative works, determined what we should adopt in the near future, especially what concerns the Constitutional Court, issues related to money laundering, laws on deoligarchization and media," he noted, emphasizing that this is the main plan of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, "which should be implemented soon."

In addition, Ruslan Stefanchuk noted that the relevant deadlines have already been set, and the Parliament is working at the committee level and is making all organizational structural changes within the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine to speed up this activity. The European integration laws were passed quickly enough: "We worked fruitfully for a month. I think it will bear fruit."

"We rely not only on Ukrainian experts. We are currently working on our activities with the European Parliament. In particular, we will actively cooperate with his expert group. In addition, we have agreements with the parliaments of foreign countries," the Speaker of the Parliament emphasized, recalling that he signed a memorandum with the Senate of France, where it was agreed that the Senate of France would provide advisory assistance to the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine: "We have similar approaches with other parliaments – Poland, Germany, Latvia, and Estonia."

"The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine did everything necessary for the reform of the judiciary to take place: certain institutions were created and restarted.  Now we are waiting for the formation of the High Council of Justice to be completed, respectively. The High Qualification Commission of Judges, then they should start their work," said Ruslan Stefanchuk, adding that everyone is aware that we are currently living in a period of martial law, so we will direct some legislative acts to the activities of judges under martial law conditions, "but it should be done in such a way that it does not interfere with judicial reform in general."

"By the New Year, we plan to adopt all legislative projects aimed at opening agreements. Among them, none would negatively affect the life of an average citizen. We now have one way – the way to the EU. Therefore, any legislation must, first of all, coincide with those values, regulations, and directives of the EU, which we are trying to achieve," the Speaker of the Parliament noted.

"We have a lot of plans – the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine will do everything that is entrusted to it, and it will certainly do everything on time," the Speaker of the Parliament of Ukraine, Ruslan Stefanchuk, finally emphasized.
