According to I.Kalietnik, Committee Chairman, 56 Bills out of 87 within the competence of the Committee were scrutinized (76,7 per cent with account for the Bills withdrawn by the subjects of legislative initiative).
I.Kalietnik noted the Bill on A mendments to certain Legislative Acts of Ukraine regarding Responsibility for Corruptive Infringements (Reg. No.0875) adopted at the Second Reading and in entirety. The Bill improves criminal legislation of Ukraine and the laws on administrative infringements of the individuals in the field of fighting corruption.
The Bill on the principles of preventing and fighting corruption (Reg. No.0876) was also adopted in entirety. The Bill appertains to the prevention, detection and cessation of corruption in the public and private sectors, reimbursement of losses inflicted by corruptive infringements, restoration of rights and legitimate interests of individuals and legal entities, regulation of international cooperation in the field of fighting corruption.
The Committee Chairman devoted special attention to the Bill on Responsibility of Legal Entities for Corruptive Infringements (Reg. No.0877) adopted in entirety.
The Verkhovna Rada adopted the Bill on Amendments to certain Legislative Acts of Ukraine regarding Improvement of Organizational-Legal Principles of Prevention, Detection and Cessation of Activity of the Organized Crime and Corruption (Reg. No. 3170).
The Committee also held the hearings on the topic "Anti-Corruptive Aspects of Transparency in the Public Sector".
The Committee scrutinized 2,3 thousand appeals, complaints and claims of the individuals and legal entities.
