Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, Ruslan Stefanchuk, met with representatives of the Junior Academy of Sciences of Ukraine on the occasion of the third anniversary of the establishment of the Educational Center of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.

"I am proud of our youth! These children are future scientists! They make mistakes, but they don't stop. These young people dream of returning to school, entering universities, and being helpful to their country!"  – the Speaker of the Parliament.

The participants of the meeting were interested in the question of Ukraine obtaining the status of a candidate in the European Union, why the path to the EU is important for us, how the Parliament works during times of alarm, and why Ukraine legally does not declare war, how we can provide the army with the latest and most potent weapons and overcome corruption in Ukraine.

For his part, the Speaker of the Parliament of Ukraine answered all the questions, and talked about his path to such a position and the challenges that Ukraine faced due to the full-scale aggression of the russian federation.

"I was a professor at the university, so lectures, seminars, and communication were the most exciting things that happened in my life. I miss communication with every young person because it is not just an exchange of information. This is an exchange of energy, where you give knowledge – you gain knowledge; you transfer experience – you get experience," said the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.

"You know that the path to Europe for Ukraine is a choice of worldview. This is not the way to Europe. It is a return to the European home. Ukraine has always been a European nation. The center of Europe is in Ukraine. I don't know other nations that are not members of the European Union, but which were wrapped in the flags of the European Union and died for this idea on the Maidan," stressed Ruslan Stefanchuk.

In addition, the Speaker of the Parliament of Ukraine emphasized that he wants meetings with young people to continue:

"I really want to contribute to the development of our country. When you see that in this difficult time, scoundrels come to our country, and the best sons and daughters protect Ukraine, putting their lives on the line, everyone should understand that everyone in their place is significant. Everyone must contribute to the common victory in their place. I would very much like you to contribute to the development of our Ukraine with your knowledge, skills, and desire."

"With such Ukrainian women and men, I am not afraid for our future. They are more than the bloom of the nation. For their sake, I want to bring our victory closer with all my might!"  – finally emphasized the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, Ruslan Stefanchuk.
