Joint statement of the President of Ukraine, the Prime Minister of Ukraine, and the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine

On July 1, within the walls of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyi, Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Ruslan Stefanchuk, and Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal put their signatures under a joint statement certifying Ukraine's readiness to become a full member of the European Union.

In the statement, the three branches of government pledge to be committed to the values ??of the European Union, based on respect for human dignity, freedom, democracy, equality, the rule of law, and human rights, in particular, the rights of persons belonging to minorities.

Unswervingly adhere to the values ??common to Ukraine and EU member states, where pluralism, non-discrimination, tolerance, justice, solidarity, and equality of women and men prevail.

With their signatures, the President of Ukraine, the Prime Minister of Ukraine, and the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine also confirmed their willingness to implement all the recommendations specified in the conclusion of the European Commission and the decision of the European Council.

In addition, the statement recorded Ukraine's readiness to implement all reforms aimed at achieving the criteria for membership in the European Union.
