The Committee on Legislative Support of Law Enforcement recommends that the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine adopts as a Basis the Bill on Amendments and Additions to certain Legislative Acts of Ukraine (re Fighting Spreading of Children Pornography)

The Bill (Reg.№3271) introduced by the People´s Deputy, P. Unhurian, O. Efremov, E. Tsarkov envisages the strengthening of the actions aimed at the counteraction to the production, selling or spreading of children pornography and involvement pf children in the pornography production process.

Authors in particular recommend the amendments to the Law "On Telecommunications" according to which telecommunication providers are obliged to inform law enforcement agencies on all the facts of production or sell of the products with the use of children pornography.

The Bill also recommends that the consumers of telecommunication services should also be obliged to inform law enforcement agencies or/and internet providers on all the facts of children pornography, narcotics propaganda, national terrorism found in internet.

According to the amendments to the Law "On protection o Morality" the notions of children pornography, its production, spreading etc. should be defined.

Members of the Committee upheld the Bill, adoption of which according to them "would facilitate the increase of the fighting children pornography effectiveness"
